*Common in my work is a voyeuristic quality. Up is a category for works specifically about the human tendency toward voyeurism and the excitement that is evoked when someone believes they are viewing something supposed to be hidden or unseen. I am fascinated by how sensative an issue the use of ones image or likeness is and believe it speaks volumes about the amount of power an image holds. The image above is a computer idealized rendering of an accidental encounter I had while looking at a sidewalk sale. I was floored by the wave of conflicting emotions that came over me while chemical hormones flooded my brain that fought to honor the woman her reasonable right to privacy.
